SCHOOL UNIFORM:
Learners are representatives of the school at all times.
A neat learner is a good ambassador for the school.
The correct uniform must be worn and it must always be neat and clean.
Uniform for boys and girls must be the correct size.
Girls’ tunics must be knee-length.
All uniform (and other belongings) must be clearly marked by the parents with a permanent marker.
The school will not be held liable for lost / stolen uniform.
Navy blue scarves and beanies with school badge and navy blue gloves are allowed only in winter.
NB: Different colour jackets, shirts, jerseys, fancy shoes, fashion sneakers and blankets are not allowed.
Jewelry such as rings, bracelets and chains are not allowed.
Learners are allowed to wear watches.
Girls with pierced ears may wear small silver or gold studs (only 1 pair).
Different colour stones are not allowed.
Girls who are starting to develop must wear a bra or vest.
Boys are not allowed to wear earrings.
Learners may not have tongue rings or studs anywhere on the body.
Shirts must be neatly tucked into the pants.
Socks must be pulled up and folded over neatly.
Nail polish or nail tips are not allowed.
Nails must be short and clean and must not show over the finger tips.
Shiny items may not be worn on the body, hair or ears.
Boy’s and girl’s hair must be neat and tidy at all times.
Only white / navy / black hair bands or ribbons are allowed.
Girls may have their natural hair plaited.
Afro hair that is longer than 5cm must be tied up.
Dreadlocks are allowed, but must be natural hair, and it must be tied up at all times.
Up-style / straight-back corn rows are allowed. Must be shoulder length.
Braids are allowed. (Parental discretion is advised).
The braids must not be too long and must be fastened with a white, navy or black hair band.
Different colour braids are not allowed; only black.
The braids must be kept neat and clean.
Coloring of hair (including highlights), is not allowed.
Boys hair must be short and neat; same length or fade (long-short).
Top part of “fade” must not be longer than 2cm.
Fancy lines / patterns / logos in the hair are not allowed.
Shaving of lines into the eyebrows is not allowed.
All learners from Grade 0 – 7 must buy a school tracksuit from the Bursar’s office.
NB: Gr.1 – 7 learners may only wear their tracksuits on Phys. Ed days or when given permission to do so.
Learners must wear full school uniform on all other school days.
NB: Tracksuit tops may NOT be worn with the school uniform.
When learners go out for sport they must bring their tracksuits in their sport bags and change after school.
The school will not be held liable for lost / stolen tracksuits or any other uniform / personal belongings.
Parents of new learners have until 16 January 2024 to purchase their children’s uniform.
The learner must be present when the uniform is purchased so that they can fit it on.
Parents must make sure that the uniform is the correct size, as returns will not be accepted.
Parents are advised not to buy the uniform too small or tight fitting.
Parents must make sure that the uniform does not have loose seams and/or is not torn, before leaving the school.
Uniform that has been taken home or worn may not be returned.
No refunds will be made on uniform that has been purchased.
Parents may purchase the following uniform from Woolworths, Edgars, Ackermans, Pep Stores, Jumbo or Jet:
Navy blue jersey, navy blue stockings, white shirts, long and short grey pants, navy blue shorts, white socks and black school shoes. Navy blue school swimming costume for girls. Navy blue swimming pants for boys.
School badges to iron onto the boy’s white shirts are available at school at R50,00 each.
